Complex Facilities

Grosvenor in Cairns is a holiday and short term apartment complex comprising sixteen 2 bedroom and six 1 bedroom fully self contained apartments. Each apartment has a full kitchen plus a clothes washer dryer (not a Studio), iron and ironing board. Swimming Pool / Spa

The in-ground resort style pool spa is just the place to wind down and relax after a busy day. The pool is solar heated and usable all the year around. Adjacent to the pool is an undercover BBQ meals area. The gas fired BBQ is free to use and there are plenty of tables and chairs for all. There is also a poolside shower and bathroom for guests to use. The BBQ area also contains a Coke machine and a refrigerator for guest use. We provide pool towels for guest use FREE of charge as long as they are returned undamaged and washable.

 

Parking

Undercover parking (under each building) is free and available to all vehicles under 2.1 meters in height. There are three outdoor visitor parking bays within the property which which are also used for vehicles over 2.1 meters in height. In addition there is plenty of parking on Grove and McLeod Street . Guest Laundry Each 1 or 2 bedroom apartment has it's own washing machine/dryer. For guest staying in a Studio there is also a guest laundry on-site.

Tours & Activities

The reception desk at Grosvenor in Cairns is also a full tour booking desk. Our system is connected to all tour operators and booking a tour is as simple as letting us know which tour you wish to do and let us do the rest. Your tour vouchers will be printed and either left in your reception office pigeon hole for later collection or delivered to your apartment. There is no additional charge in booking your tours through the Grosvenor's tour desk, in fact there are some distinct advantages: We've actually been on most of the tours and can advise on the best tour for YOU (not the best tour for the tour desk seller) If something goes wrong just before the tour we can probably arrange a cancellation at no cost or transfer the date of the tour We will know when you are due to be picked up and if the bus is late we can find out why We keep up to date with all specials and discounts from tour operators We can pre book your tour prior to your arrival without you having to pay up front

Internet Access

Internet access is available in all apartments and around the pool area via a wireless signal provided by MyPort. The service is a user pays system depending on how long you require internet access.

As a guide, the following prices were correct as of September 2012:

• Half Hour access - $5.95
• 1 hours access - $9.95
• 24 hours access - $19.95
• 1 weeks access - $49.95

There is a desk top computer in the reception foyer which is FREE for guests to use to access the internet and email.

• Photocopying, Fax, Scan and Printing are all available at the Reception counter (a small cost applies)
• Shopping - Food & Restaurants
• Within 300 meters of Grosvenor in Cairns the following are located:
• Liquor Land - Night Owl Convenience Store - Pizza Hut - Gymnasium - Kebabs - Roast Chicken - Chinese & Noddles - Fish & Chips - Pizzas
• There is also an IGA supermarket that is open from 6 am until 12 am plus a bakery and a Deli
• Tandoori Nights Indian Restaurant (Lunch & Dinner) is located immediately next door
• Little Ricardo's Italian Restaurant is located approximately 300 meters away on Sheridan Street
• The famous Cock & Bull Pub Bistro is located 300 meters away on Grove Street

Transport

Public Bus Service - Cairns is well served by a public bus service which runs services from the Cairns CBD to most suburbs of Cairns including all of the northern Beaches (Palm Cove etc). There is a public bus stop on Sheridan Street about 150 meters from Grosvenor in Cairns and the bus ride to the center of town only takes about 7 minutes and costs just over $2. Taxi Service - there are plenty of taxis available in Cairns. A taxi from the airport to Grosvenor in Cairns takes about 7 minutes and will cost around $20. A taxi ride into the center of Cairns takes about 5 minutes and costs around $10. Airport Shuttle Bus - This service runs from the airport to Cairns and will cost passengers $10 per single ticket or $15 for two tickets to be dropped off at Grosvenor in Cairns.

Disabled Facilities

Grosvenor in Cairns is a 3 story 'walk up' apartment complex. There are 8 steps 'up' to the ground floor which makes Grosvenor in Cairns unsuitable for those persons using wheelchairs or who are unable to manage any steps at all.
